Hello all!
Just a first post to welcome everyone to the LGBTQIA+ Network discussion board! I am Amanda Iverson (she/her) and along with Allee Garry (she/her) serve as a co-chair for the LGBTQIA+ Network within ACUHO-I. We are very excited to get this discussion board up and running, and look forward to engaging with everyone.
A little bit about Allee: I am the Apartment Operations Coordinator at Oregon State University, but have worked all over the country in various Resident Director type-roles. I love horror movies (my favorite is the original Carrie), spending time outside, making goofy drawings, and photographing people in my spare time.
A little bit about Amanda: I am the Director of Residential Life at Union College, where I've been for 9 years. I'm a res-lifer for life, entering my 23rd year working in some capacity in housing/residential life. I love binge-watching almost anything, I'm a true crime junkie, and in my free time you can usually find me doing something outside (skiing in the winter, kayaking/SUPing in the summer), or hanging with my wife and our two goldendoodles.
We are always looking for more ways to engage with you all and hope to hear some ideas of what you would like to see within the LGBTQIA+ Network. If you have any suggestions of topics or things you'd like to see, feel free to share with us via email.
