Hello! It's my first time posting and in these communities, there was a typo in the subject - it should say Resident Assistants! I'm here today to ask if anyone has experience at their institution or other places where RAs were allowed to be on executive boards of a governing body organization like Student Government? Our department is looking for best practices to see if RAs, from positions of power, privilege, and influence should simultaneously hold executive positions? I would love to hear other's thoughts and opinions on this matter. Thank you!
Happy to share the following via email: [email protected]
- Assessment methods of training as it relates to job preparedness + sense of belonging
- Curricular approaches to residential education
- engagement strategies for residential interactions
- Recruitment and selection practices to preserve staff bandwidth
- thought partnering in whatever!
