  • 1.  Non Residential Life Live on Positions

Do any of you have any non-residential life live-on folks? Looking to create a version of our live-on faculty position (called House Fellows) but for administrators. Thinking of providing a short-term limit (2-3 years) with programmatic and on-call responsibilities. Looking for some materials (applications, descriptions).

    Luis,

Good to see your name pop up in my email friend!  PC has historically used members of our Student Involvement staff in our on-call rotation in exchange for housing. We have also done this a few times with a member of our International Programs staff.  All of them were in student-facing positions where they already had myriad programmatic responsibilities, so this was a simple exchange of housing for on-call work.

Unfortunately, we did not have any specific materials to recruit (small campus with only so many staff for these roles), but wanted to affirm that this type of relationship has worked well for our us and our staff (in our rural area, as with anywhere these days, affordable housing in close proximity to campus can be difficult to find).

    Best wishes,

    Drew...
